The chances
are you already have a printer - but are they printing with an eco-conscience?
We at Five Star don't believe that printing has to be a wasteful and ecologically damaging process and being 'green' does not mean compromising quality.
As standard we use vegetable based printing inks which respect the environment far more than the commonly used mineral based inks.
Secondly, none of our printing presses use the chemical Isopropyl which is still used throughout the printing industry. This chemical is very high in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) which are a major source of ozone pollution.
Thirdly, we try to encourage our clients to try recycled or Forestry Stewardship (FSC) papers and boards. By using recycled papers you will be diverting waste from landfills and incinerators. According to the environmental charity "WasteWatch" for every tonne of paper (about 2 pallets) of 100% post-consumer recycled paper we save at least 30,000 litres of water and 3000-4000 kwh of electricity, enough to power an average 3 bedroom house for one year! More information about our green policy is available here.
With corporate social responsibilities increasing in focus in today's market, the need for products that consider their environmental credentials has never been greater.
